The Secundaria 3 —Middle School— ‘Profr. Moises Saenz Garza,’ in Apodaca, N.L., celebrated its 50th anniversary and some of its distinguished former students were invited to the celebration, among them: Ing. Alberto Zambrano Elizondo, the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon Information Technology Director.
The inauguration speech was given by the Municipal Mayor, Lic. Benito Caballero, on October 14, 2011. The celebration included the performance of the ‘Ballet Folklorico de Apodaca’ —folk dance group— and the ‘Estudiantina’ —traditional student music group— composed by alumni and directed by Professor Salvador Ochoa Cabriales, the group director in 1980.
In the same way, three politicians from Apodaca were invited to the event: C.P. Raymundo Flores Elizondo, former mayor and local representative, participated with the conference ‘The Public Service; ‘ Lic. Cesar Garza Villarreal, former mayor of Apocada and local representative, talked about ‘Education. Youth is Mexico’s Strength;’ and Ing. Lombardo Guajardo Guajardo, former mayor and former Secretary for Public Works, gave a conference on ‘Urban transformation of Monterrey: Paseo Santa Lucia.’
Ing. Alberto Zambrano gave the conference “Information Technology and its impact on the UANL.”
Ing. Eligio Lozano, member of the celebration organizing committee, gave a summary of Ing. Zambrano’s professional experience.
After that, Ing. Zambrano said: “I effusively congratulate the organizing committee of these event, especially Professor Claro Francisco Martinez, better known as Professor Claro; Professor Maria Antonieta Mata Briseno, Professor Tonita, the School’s Principal; Ing. Matias Lozano; Ing. Eligio Lozano, and all those who participated in the organization of this great event: the celebration of the first 50 years of the foundation of our Middle School, the ‘Escuela Secundaria 3 Profr. Moises Saenz Garza.’
“I want to highlight that the education we received from this Middle School has been really important; not only academically, it has been an education of a great integrated value; it has helped us in our lives, to carry on with our degree, in our professional life.
It was here where we acquired many experiences, principles and values of how to work in team; we have learned respect and fellowship in order to achieve objectives, from sports, from the coexistence with our classmates, to our integrated education to become who we are,” said the Information Technology Director and Secundaria 3 distinguished former student.
After that, engineer Zambrano talked about the work done by the DGI in the UANL, besides showing the institutional video where it is exposed the importance of the UANL in Nuevo Leon.
The institutional systems developed and promoted by the DGI — directed by engineer Alberto Zambrano— were showed during the talk that was attended by alumni, directors, students and parents. He also talked about his experience as the leader of the Information Technology Department.
“In my own experience, and without any doubt, I can assure you that what I am now, in my personal and professional life, I owe it to all my professors who participated in the education of my life stage in this Middle School, and to whom with love and respect I send greetings and recognition,” said the UANL member.
