Due to the conclusion of a project done for the UANL Foundation –which is in charge of carrying out the ‘Siembra Cultural’ Raffle each year- directors and personnel of this organization and Department of Information Technology (DGI, Spanish abbreviation) members held a meeting on December 17th, 2010.
The project called ‘Sistemas de Sorteos (SISO Fase I)’ had the objective of developing a web system which would allow working with raffle administration and the control of information access besides providing mechanisms of monitoring to the subsequent decision making.
DGI help was asked because the last system was not enough for the new requirements in the organization of Foundation raffles area due to the Raffle increase.
Project started on January 7th, 2010 with the implementation of the first stage of the system implemented on January 22nd, 2010. The analysis of the second stage system as well as different validation tests were carried out from August to November.
From November 17th to December 9th, 16 users were trained in the different project areas such as external and internal sales, control, systems and liquidations.
The meeting was attended by Ing. Alberto Zambrano Elizondo, DGI Director; Ing. Joaquin Huante Hernandez, Academic Systems Deputy Director; Lic. Cecilia Vargas Cordero, project’s administrador; Ing. Diego Vidal Luna, technnical leader and Ing. Javier Quiroga, project’s assessor, all of them from the DGI.
CP. Hector Treviño Trejo, Ing. Xochitl Ponce Rosales and Ing. Jorge Roberto Guerrero Salinas –from the Raffles Direction- were the link with the organization during the project.
A video about the CIATI monitoring system was showed in the meeting and later the releasing letter was read and signed by engineer Zambrano and responsible people from both university organizations.
During the meeting some questions about the project implementation were answered and the last details for concluding the first stage were fine-tuned.
Thanks to the SISO implementation, the user has an account with a more functional WEB system, because it provides multiuser access, automatic reflect of movements, sales, and other benefits besides offering statistics for decisions making.
