Science Tunnel Closing guests and DGI different areas representatives appeared in the Fundidora Park Nave Lewis to bear witness the closing of the project they gave service to.
One of the most ambitious projects of the University –and where the DGI collaborated in an integral manner- was closed on Friday, October 15th, 2010 with the Leading Academic Institution President, Jesus Ancer Rodriguez’s speech.
From the event’s inauguration to its end, the DGI carried out different activities for the Science Tunnel: the Nave Lewis was connected to the University through a dedicated link, a count system for the entering and leaving of visitors, and wireless installation for 150 simultaneous users.
An attendance registration information desk, net and regulated energy nodes, a Collaborators’ Attendance System, and a telephone connected to the UANL network were installed. The inauguration was live transmitted and the webpage for the event was developed with a system to schedule visiting groups.
Ing. Alberto Zambrano Elizondo, DGI Director; Tomas Rodriguez Elizondo, Projects and Services deputy director; Joaquin Huante Hernandez, Academic Systems deputy director; Noel A. Hortiales Corona, Computing and Software deputy director; Juan Antonio Castilleja Garcia, Telecommunications deputy director attended the event.
Juan Javier Quiroga Garza, Systems Support coordinator; Humberto Jorge Orozco Barron, Data Net coordinator; Jose Guillermos Molina Luna, Technologic Equipment coordinator; Salvador Perez Pinales Technical Support coordinator also attended the event.
Besides, Juan Manuel Serrano Canamar, Electric Energy and Links coordinator; Dagoberto Salas Zendejo, Web Services coordinator; Alma L. Lopez Berrones, Internet Services coordinator; Otoniel Cantu Cupich, Administrative coordinator; Graciela Cecilia Flores Reyes, CIATI administrator and Alma Delia Cardenas Villarreal, Human Resources responsible, appeared in the event.
Diego Vidal Luna Rodriguez, Analysis and Development assistant; Brenda Campos Ochoa, Data Net Operations assistant; Hector Gonzalez Martinez from Energy and Links Net Operations, Cosme Damian Cavazos Martinez, Web Development responsible and Gustavo Adolfo Suarez Munoz, designer were in the event too.
Consul of Germany in Monterrey, Carlos Ross Scheede attended the closing event as well as Max Planck Foundation and Nuevo Leon Government representatives.
The different rooms of this traveling exhibition gave service to 87 thousand visitors -from September 11th to October 15th– most of them from elementary and secondary schools of Nuevo Leon.
