Alberto Zambrano Elizondo has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Management by UANL. In 1986 he obtained the Master’s Degree in Management with a Specialization in Finance from the UANL. In 1983 he finished his studies as Engineer in Systems Management at the UANL. In addition to the foregoing, in 1998 he took a Diploma Course in Development of Management Skills at the Instituto de Mandos Intermedios and took Certification Courses in Information Technology like COBIT, PMI, CMMI, ITIL, ISO 9000 and HELP DESK.

From 2008 to 2010 he was President of the Management Board of CUDI (Mexican Network of Education and Research), which has more than 200 High Education Institutions and Centers for Research.  He was Vice-president of the Commission of Intellectual Capital in the Software Council of the State of Nuevo Leon and nowadays he represents UANL before different IT Associations: AMEREIAF, ANUIES, CANIETI and Monterrey IT Cluster.

He has been considered twice by the national magazine InfoWorld among the top 100 CIOs of Mexico, in June 2007 and July 2009, respectively.
