The Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) Center of Studies and Certification of Foreign Languages joint the institutional buildings that have implemented the Kaizen Quality System.
People from the Department of Information Technology (DGI, Spanish abbreviation) and the Center of Studies and Certification of Foreign Languages signed a letter to release the project; it took place in a meeting carried out on October 5th, 2010, at the same Center.
The implementation of Kaizen began on July 8th, 2010 when people from the DGI showed the characteristics of the system to qualified personnel of this Center; however, it was until July 23rd when the project formally began.
Later, the corresponding training was given: on August 2nd, Document Control Administrator; on August 16th, the Audit, Corrective Actions, and Preventive Actions Modules; on September 27th, the Directive Inspections and Continuous Improvement Modules, and the Training of Processes Owners and of Instructors for the Training of Readers.
The event was attended by DGI personnel: Ing. Alberto Zambrano Elizondo, Director; Ing. Joaquin Huante Hernandez, Academic Systems Deputy Director; Ing. Linda Lisbeth Gaxiola Lucio, Systems Development and Implementation Coordinator; Lic. Cecilia Vargas Cordero, IT Projects Administrator; and Lic. Abel Castro Garcia, Project Leader.
Lic. Jesus Solis attended this event as the representative of Ing. Alejandro Aguilar from the UANL Quality Management Department. From the Center of Studies and Certification of Foreign Languages, the team in charge attended the event, headed by Professor Sara Alicia Ancira Arechiga, Director, and Ing. Isabel Villarreal Verastegui, Kaizen System’s Administrator.
Thirty two individuals were trained in Kaizen’s Information System for Quality Management (SIAC, Spanish abbreviation).
DGI’s commitment was established. “The Kaizen System support continues, do not think that once we finish the project, our support will finish too, we will be in contact through the reports received at the Institutional Center for Support in Information Technology (CIATI, Spanish abbreviation),” commented Vargas Cordero.
At the end of the event, Ing. Zambrano congratulated the Center of Studies and Certification of Foreign Languages authorities for implementing Kaizen, and at the same time, he thanked them for their confidence and support in the achievement of the objective that benefits the institutional center as well as the same UANL.
